Create Case Label (Ctrl+9)

This quickdrop shortcut works for MHL cases within both a Workers Main VI and within a base class's Common Cases.vi.

Use this quickdrop shortcut to both create and rename Case Labels. To use this quickdrop shortcut, first have the Worker's MHL case visible and selected that you want to create a case label for.

Creating a Case Label

Creating a case label is as simple as following the steps below.

Step 1: Create a new MHL case

Create a case in a Worker's MHL. E.g. <New Case>

Step 2: Activate quickdrop shortcut Ctrl+9

With the new MHL case created, activate the quickdrop shortcut Ctrl+9. The following dialog will appear:

Press Create Case Label and the tool will create a new case label for you, and add the case label to the Worker that you created the case label for.

Renaming a MHL Case

The Ctrl+9 quickdrop shortcut can also rename a Workers MHL case name. To do this follow the steps below.

Step 1: Select MHL case to rename

Select the MHL case that you want to rename.

Step 2: Activate quickdrop shortcut Ctrl+9

With the new MHL case created, activate the quickdrop shortcut Ctrl+9. The following dialog will appear. Press Rename Case.

Step 3: Select new name for MHL case

The following dialog will appear, allowing you to enter new name for the MHL case. Provide a new name for the case in the 'New MHL Case Name' field, and press Rename Case.

The tool will rename the MHL case, and also rename the case label file and the matching string within the case label VI.
